  <abstract lang="lav">Kāds ģeogrāfisks nogabals ir tikai tukša telpa, iekams to nav sākuši apdzīvot cilvēki. Ierodas cilvēki un, izmantojot dabas dotos resursus un savu radošo potenciālu, tukšu telpu pārvērš par savu dzīves vietu ar jēgu, ar nozīmi. Abu kopdarbošanās rada to, ko mēs pazīstam ar nosaukumu - kultūrainava. Ainavas vērtības apzināšanās sākusies
saistībā ar vēlmi saglabāt nākamajām paaudzēm iepriekšējo paaudžu radīto. Sevišķi aktuāls aizsardzības jautājums kļuvis pēdējā laikā, pieaugot ekonomiskai un antropogēnai slodzei uz ainavu.
Dievs un mani priekšteči par vietu manai dzīvei izvēlējušies zemes nogabalu Kolkasraga ciešā tuvumā. Jūtot ciešu saistību ar šo ģeogrāfisko vietu Ziemeļkurzemes
jūrmalā, esmu sākusi dziļāk interesēties par tās vēsturi. Interesi vēl vairāk pastiprinājusi darbošanās tūrisma jomā, kur vietas vēsture un kultūras mantojums ir tūristu intereses objekts, kuri dažādos veidos tiek iesaistīti tūrisma piedāvājumā. Ainava ir vispieejamākā
no kultūras mantojuma veidiem, jo tā ir praktiski visur. Mazapdzīvotās teritorijas un skaistā piekrastes daba aicina cilvēkus dodoties pastaigās, lai to izbaudītu.</abstract>
  <abstract lang="eng">The Master paper studies theories of comprehension of landscape in general and of maritime cultural landscape particularly. The paper also studies theories of musealization and trends in this field, particularly turning attention to the theories of New museology and ecomuseums. To get a view of praxis in this field, the samples of ecomuseums and underwater heritage preservation are inspected.
Cape Kolka is commonly perceived as naturally formed object. That is very true,
but since it is known for civilization, it has become a site of human history as well, creating physical objects consciously and unconsciously, and recording people’s memories in the landscape. Using the theory of underwater archeologist Crister Westerdal the
research examines the structure of maritime cultural landscape at Cape Kolka using the research methods like field studies, literature studies and studies of photo achieves, studies of ancient maps and toponym studies as well. The research finds Cape Kolka a place with a rich cultural heritage, both visible and invisible: architectural structures and people’s memories living in the landscape; the landscape below and under water, which possesses a
potential of musealization.
It is believed, that landscape is the most accessible type of cultural heritage, because it is everywhere. Even so, there exists informative accessibility, which in many cases is limited, at least for wide audience. From that point most of cultural heritage at Cape Kolka is still under limited accessibility and very little is under legal protection to be
preserved for next generations. One of the solutions of the problem can be musealization of the cultural heritage. The paper examines possibilities of musealization of the landscape at Cape Kolka, using criterions of theories and finding out the locals opinion about the cultural heritage nearby them and suggests appropriate types of presentation of the landscape at Cape Kolka.</abstract>
