Pār Vidumupīti uzcelts Sarkanais tilts, kas tā nosaukts tāpēc, ka no kautuves Ganību ielā visi ūdeņi ieplūda Vidumupītē un krāsoja to sarkanu, bet ticamāk, ka nosaukums radies no tilta materiāla- sarkanajiem ķieģeļiem
