- Le civisme est une manière de se comporter, de participer à l'organisation et à la gestion de la "cité". Ce comportement ou cette participation consiste à décider et à agir. Or, la décision pertinente et l'action efficace doivent être éclairées par l’information. Sous ce rapport, le citoyen doit faire preuve de disposition d’esprit qui permette d’intégrer l’information dans son processus de pensée et d’action. La pensée fonde l’action mais l’action éclaire la pensée.
- Abstract (latvian):
- Civic mindedness is a way of behaving, and of participating in the organization and management of “society”. Such a behavior or participation consists in deciding and in acting. Now, information must enlighten relevant decision and effective action. In this regard, citizens need to show a frame of mind that makes it possible to integrate information in their thought and action processes. Action is based on thought, but thought is enlightened by action.
