- Maģistra darbs balstīts uz teorētisku pētījumu kino teorijas un vēstures jomā un praksi, kas saistīts ar kino režijas, kino stilistikas, semantikas un tehniskās metodoloģijas apguvi. Darba galvenā sastāvdaļa ir īsmetrāžas spēlfilmas „Augstāk par Zemi”, (29 min) tapšana, kas ietver sevī praktisko un teorētisko posmu. Spēlfilmas, kas klasificējas kā īsfilma, uzņemšana koncentrēti parāda studiju un jaunrades procesa rezultātu, kas ietver - scenārija izveidi, sagatavošanās un izpētes darbu pirms scenārija realizēšanas, filmēšanu, montāžu un filmas pēcapstrādi. Filma veltīta jauniešu psiholoģisko jautājumu problemātikai. Tās aktualitāti izvirza jautājums, kas ir arī galvenā šī darba ideja - mēģināt atbildēt uz jautājumu „Vai viegli būt jaunam?”. Jura Podnieka uzdotais jautājums atkal un atkal rada psiholoģisku un sociālu spriedzi, jo katrai paaudzei tas ir aktuāls un ļoti subjektīvs.
- Abstract (english):
- The theoretical base of the thesis is a study involving the theory of cinema and history of cinema. Application of theoretical knowledge enabled the author of the thesis to act and to perform the role of film director, demonstrate acquired skills in different fields of film production, including very technical ones. The work resulted as a movie „The Thieves of the Locks” (30 min.). The entire process of film-making of „The Thieves of the Locks” stands as an essential part of the thesis. Construction of the plot, script, preparation and research before implementation, picture-taking, cutting an post-processing – each stage of making of the movie demonstrate learned skills and acquired knowledge during the M.A. course along with the creative process. The main problematics of the movie has been sourced within psychology of the youth. It is our attempt to pose and answer an ever topical question „Is it easy to be a young?” the famous question of Juris Podnieks is being actualized again and again as each generation of youth confronts their own unique subjective experience. The aim of the movie is to build a credible emotional story about youth and the give a generalized portretation of the time they live within. The characters of the movie are young persons, searching for their inner self. Their essential characteristics are anxiety, indeterminism of the time, non-conformation with rules of the society, emotional uncertainty, at some time bordering with childishness. The power of the time is unconquerable in it’s continuum, therefore the only challenge is to live in the present – everything is happening here and now.
