- Associated professor Nijole Bliūdžiuvienė from Vilnius University, Faculty of Communication, told about the "Lithuania's Experience in International Standardisation of Information and Documentation for Memory Institutions" in her presentation. The focus in Lithuania is on setting up a new Technical Committee LST/TC 47 "Library Science" working with issues of standardisation of information and documentation activities, metadata, bibliographic formats, publishing, international standard numbering systems, and terminology. Bliūdžiuvienė also provided information about the translation of ISO 5127 "Information and documentation. Foundation and Vocabulary", which offers a system of concepts and a general vocabulary for documentation within the whole information field. Representatives of memory institutions, who are members of the LST TC 47, were also involved in this process. The Lithuanian version of the international standard ISO 5127 was issued in March 2019.
