Abstract (english):
The author of the bachelor thesis “The Impact of Digital Marketing on the Development of Startups in the Baltic States” is Kate Liepa. The thesis examines the relationship between digital marketing usage intensity and startup revenue growth in the Baltic States. The topic is relevant because startups in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia operate in highly competitive and resource-constrained environments where digital marketing has become an important tool for customer acquisition, market expansion and business development. The research object is startup development in the Baltic States. The research subject is the impact of digital marketing usage intensity on startup revenue growth. The hypothesis of the study states that higher digital marketing usage intensity positively affects startup revenue growth in the Baltic States. The aim of the thesis is to analyze and test the relationship between digital marketing usage intensity and startup revenue growth. The main research tasks included analyzing theoretical literature, reviewing digital marketing concepts, developing the Digital Marketing Intensity (DMI) index, conducting a quantitative survey among Baltic startups and performing statistical analysis of the collected data. The author constructed the Digital Marketing Intensity (DMI) index, conducted the survey and performed the statistical analysis of the collected data. The study applies quantitative research methods. Data were collected through an online survey distributed among startups operating in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis with control variables including: company age, number of employees and country. The thesis consists of three chapters. The first chapter examines startup development theories, digital marketing concepts and firm growth theories. The second chapter describes the Baltic startup ecosystem and the research methodology. The third chapter presents the empirical analysis, statistical results, hypothesis testing and practical recommendations. The results of the study indicate that the relationship between digital marketing intensity and startup revenue growth is weak and statistically insignificant within the analyzed sample. The regression analysis did not provide evidence to confirm the hypothesis. Despite this, the findings suggest that digital marketing remains an important strategic activity for startups, particularly regarding customer communication, market visibility and international scalability. The bachelor thesis consists of 49 pages, 12 figures, 8 tables, 52 literature and information sources, and 6 appendices.
Abstract (latvian):
Darbs sastāv no trim nodaļām.
