- Bakalaura darba tēma tika izvēlēta, pamatojoties uz to, ka tiek uzskatīts, ka tieši tulkošana visefektīvāk nostiprina un papildina tulkotāja valodas prasmes gan dzimtajā valodā, gan tajā, no kuras tiek tulkots. Tulkošana sevī neietver tikai mehānisku vārdu pārnešanu no vienas valodas citā. Lai tulkojums būtu kvalitatīvs, tulkotājam ir jāorientējas gan kultūrā, no kuras nāk tulkojamais darbs, gan tajā, uz kuras valodu tas tiek tulkots. Visu augstāk minēto iemeslu dēļ bakalaura darba autore ir izvēlējusies tulkot norvēģu rakstnieka Larsa Sobija Kristensena (Lars Saabye Christensen) noveli „Duets”. Darba novitāte ir tā, ka pirmo reizi latviski tiek iztulkota šī Sobija Kristensena novele. Līdz šim latviešu valodā tulkoti un publicēti tikai divi Larsa Sobija Kristensena romāni, latviešu lasītājiem rastnieka noveles nav pazīstamas. Tulkojuma autore uzskata, ka Sobija Kristensena darbiem raksturīgais humors un ironiskais stils ir tuvs norvēģu un latviešu kultūrai. Noveles „Duets” tulkojums ir labs pienesums latviešu valodā iztulkotajai norvēģu mūsdienu literatūrai.
- Abstract (english):
- The Aim of the Bachelor Paper is to provide a precise translation of the novelle “Duett” by Lars Saabye Christensen from Norwegian into Latvian. Lars Saabye Christensen's biography was reviewed as well as an overview of the author's literary practice was made to achieve the aim. The novel was translated, the main translation difficulties were selected during the process and analyzed by using theoretical claims from various authors. The First chapter focuses on the characteristics of Lars Saabye Christensen's writings, main aspects of the author's individual literary style as well as the characteristics of novella collection “Stedsans” and an overview of the mutual aspects in the collection's novelles. The conclusion is drawn that the translator's knowledge of the novelle's author and his writings altogether sustain an opportunity to approach the source text more throughout and provide a more precise translation.

- Målet med denne Bachelor oppgaven er å gi en presis oversettelse av novellen «Duett», skrevet av Lars Saabye Christensen, fra Norsk til Latvisk. For å nå målet ble Christensens biografi gjennomgått, samt en oversikt over forfatterens litterære praksis. Novellen ble oversatt, og hovedproblemene ved oversettelsen ble utvalgt i løpet av prosessen, og analysert ved hjelp av teoretiske påstander fra forskjellige forfattere. Første kapittel fokuserer på kjennetegnene ved Lars Saabye Christensens verk, hovedaspektene ved forfatterens individuelle skrivestil og kjennetegnene ved novellesamlingen «Stedsans», og et overblikk over de gjensidige aspektene over denne samlingens noveller. Jeg har konkludert med at oversetterens kunnskap om novellenes forfatter og hans verk vil legge et grunnlag, og gi oversetteren en mulighet til å nærme seg teksten på en mer gjennomgående måte, og gi en mer presis oversettelse.
