- 2019. gada septembrī LMA Mākslas vēstures institūts organizēja starptautisko konferenci "Mākslinieku un arhitektu migrācija Viduseiropā un Ziemeļeiropā, 1560–1900". Konferencē tika aplūkotas mākslas un migrācijas norišu savstarpējo saistību pētnieciskās un interpretācijas problēmas, ņemot vērā mākslinieku un arhitektu vēsturisko migrāciju Vidus un Ziemeļeiropas reģionos. Konferences fokusā bija plaša problemātika, kas saistīta ar Jauno laiku mākslas un arhitektūras mantojumu, meistariem, patērētājiem, kultūras aģentiem, kultūras preču eksportu un maršrutiem. Pēc konferences tika nolemts, ka pētījumus ir vērts nopublicēt atsevišķā grāmatā.
