Maģistra darba autore ir Elizabete Vilsone, darba nosaukums “Meta maksas
reklāmu ietekme patērētāju lēmumu pieņemšanā”. Meta platformas šobrīd ieņem
nozīmīgu vietu globālajā digitālās komunikācijas un reklāmas tirgū. Meta maksas
pielikumi.
Atslēgvārdi: Meta, maksas reklāmas, patērētāju lēmumu pieņemšana, patērētāju
uzvedība, sociālie mediji, digitālais mārketings.
Anotācija (angļu):
The author of the master’s thesis is Elizabete Vilsone, and the title of the thesis
is “The Impact of Meta Paid Advertisements on Consumer Decision-Making.” Meta
platforms currently play an important role in the global digital communication and
advertising market. Meta paid advertisements are increasingly used to reach target
audiences, promote brand awareness, and improve sales results. However, Latvian
entrepreneurs often use these advertisements intuitively, without a strategically grounded
approach, which may limit advertising effectiveness and return on investment.
The hypothesis of the thesis is that Meta paid advertisements influence the
consumer decision-making process, increase brand awareness, consumer engagement,
and the desire to purchase the advertised products or services.
The aim of the study is to examine the impact of Meta paid advertisements on
consumer decision-making and to develop theoretically and practically grounded
recommendations for the results-oriented use of Meta paid advertisements in the
marketing strategies of Latvian companies.
To achieve this aim, the thesis analyses theoretical literature on the possibilities
of the Meta platform and its impact on consumer behaviour, identifies the attitudes of
Meta platform users towards paid advertisements, and examines expert experience in the
use of Meta paid advertisements.
The thesis uses theoretical literature research and analysis, a survey of Meta
platform users, interviews with Meta paid advertising experts, and statistical analysis of
the obtained data. In the empirical part, a survey of Meta platform users was conducted,
involving 69 respondents, as well as interviews with two Meta paid advertising experts.
The first chapter of the thesis analyses consumer behaviour and the decision-
making process. The second chapter examines the role of social media in marketing,
while the third chapter describes the Meta platform, paid advertising campaign
development approaches, placements, and formats. The fourth chapter presents the
empirical research by analysing the survey results and expert interviews, whereas the
fifth chapter summarises the conclusions and provides recommendations for the results-
oriented use of Meta paid advertisements in companies’ marketing strategies.
The thesis consists of 48 pages and includes 9 figures, 83 literature and
information sources, and 4 appendices.
Keywords: Meta, paid advertisements, consumer decision-making, consumer
behaviour, social media, digital marketing.
