Abstract (latvian):: Autoritatīvā kontrole dokumentu apstrādē nodrošina vienotu identificējošu pazīmju un pieejas punktu lietojumu, nodrošina starptautisku datu savienojamību, kā arī samazina darba apjomu un izmaksas, novēršot darba procesu dublēšanos. Autoritatīvās DB nodrošina pilnīgas un precīzas informācijas izguvi dažādās informacionālās vidēs un informācijas izguves sistēmās. Sadarbība autoritatīvo datu izmantošanā dažādās informacionālās vidēs un informācijas izguves sistēmās noris neatkarīgi no informācijas resursa veida (iespiestie tekstuālie, kartogrāfiskie, nošu un elektroniskie (Latvijas Nacionālā digitālā bibliotēka “Letonica”) resursi, skaņu ieraksti) un bibliogrāfisko datu apstrādes veida (monogrāfiskais, analītiskais un speciālo kolekciju bibliogrāfiskais apraksts). Sadarbība autoritatīvo datu izmantošanā notiek dažādās informācijas izguves sistēmās un institūcijās: Latvijas Valsts nozīmes kopkatalogā, Latvijas reģionālajos bibliotēku kopkatalogos, vienas vai vairāku valstu atsevišķās bibliotēkās un dažādās atmiņas institūcijās.
Abstract (latvian):: Authority records provide for accuracy of bibliographic information during its processing and retrieval. It reduces the quantity of processes and costs. The authority records created following international standards are usable nationally and internationally. They can serve as the bases for information exchange among memory institutions and can be used for the creation of Semantic Web. Cataloguing division is responsible for the creation of authority records in the National Library of Latvia (NLL). It cooperates with the special collections and the managers of NLL databases. The digital library of NLL ‘’Letonica’’ uses the authority records of NLL as metadata elements. The authority database is enriched by the authority records created for various kinds of resources, databases and collections, for example, for the collection of the Scientific Library of Riga Technical University. Regional union catalogues in Latvia have also started using NLL authority records. The cooperation model of NLL and archive community envisages the inclusion of NLL authority records into the authority file of archives, and the cooperation with museums’ community has been discussed as well. The authority records of NLL based on the Library of Congress Subject Headings provides the international cooperation in data exchange and retrieval.
