- Lielais laimests ir spēles īsfilma – ironisks stāsts par vieglu naudu, kas piesauc sliktas beigas pašam veiksmīgajam laimētājam. Galvenais varonis tirgus krāvējs Oskars(30) kādu dienu tirgū vietējā kafejnīcā sastop senu dienu mīlestību, kas viņam nekad nav bijusi aizsniedzama. Filma seko Oskara vienas dienas ceļojumam jeb dienas gaitai, kurā viņš cenšas pietuvoties kādreiz neaizsniedzamajai sievietei. Filmas vizuālais risinājums – gari kadri, pamatā izmantojot kadru iekšējo montāžu, rokas kamera. Diplomdarba filmas Lielais laimests teorētiskajā pamatojumā tiek apskatīti realitātes veidošanās principi kinematogrāfā. Par pētniecisko mērķi tiek izvirzīts apzināt vairākus realitātes konstruēšanas principus kinematogrāfā un izmantot tos spēles īsfilmā Lielais laimests. Tā kā mērķis ietver ļoti plašu pētniecisko lauku, pētījuma uzdevumā sašaurinu to līdz atsevišķu kino teorētiķu un režisoru pausto uzskatu apskatei. Par pētījuma uzdevumu tiek izvirzīts: Apzināt kino teorētiķa Andrē Bazēna idejas par realitātes konstruēšanu kinematogrāfā; Apskatīt, rokas kameras estētikas ienākšanu kinematogrāfā; Savukārt diplomdarba filmā pārbaudīt minēto kino teorētiķu un praktiķu iepriekš aprakstītos realitātes konstruēšanas principus – kadra iekšējā montāža un rokas kameras izmantošana.
- Abstract (english):
- Master thesis film Lielais laimests (The Big Win) is a short film – a story about Oskars (30), loader of goods in the market, who one day gets an unexpected amount of money – the big win. The film depicts one day in Oskars’ life or his journey, observing, where the grand prize will take him. The motto of the film is – be careful, what you wish, cause your wishes may come true. The visual solution of the film is long takes, use of deep focus, depth of field and hand held camera. In the theoretical justification of the master thesis film Lielais laimests - principles of constructing the reality in cinema are reviewed. The research task of the thesis is to explore film theorists André Bazin’s ideas about constructing a reality in cinema, and to review esthetic use of hand held camera. The aim of the diploma film is to verify in the film the principles of constructing a reality that were mentioned before – work in depth of field in single take and use of hand held camera. There are three main conclusions about the use of depth of field after finishing work on the first montage version of the film: Firstly, for frames that contain action in foreground and background more time is needed on a set; Secondly, very important factor is good choice of the location; Thirdly, when using long takes, special attention needs to be paid to the rhythm of the film’s montage.
