- Ideja mūsdienu dejas izrādei ar nosaukumu «Passadís» – «pazaudēto soļu vieta» radās kārtējā pārlidojuma laikā no manas dzimtās pilsētas Irkutskas uz Rīgu, kur es dzīvoju jau trīs gadus. Laiks, ko pavadīju tālu no mājām, citā valstī, citā pilsētā, kura nav līdzīga manai dzimtajai pilsētai, bet tajā pašā laikā jau kļuvusi par dzimto, manī radījuši daudz jautājumu. Viens no tiem - kas ir robežas. Ceļojot no pilsētas uz pilsētu, man bieži nākas lidot ar pārsēšanos – apstāties kādā pilsētā, šķērsot dažādas cilvēka izdomātas robežas. Šādos brīžos prātā vienmēr ir tādas vietas tēls, kurā mani kāds gaida. Bet laikam tā nav man vienai. Cilvēki mūža garumā «spēlē ar robežām», novelkot sev līnijas, ko ikdienā šķērsot. Savā darbā gribu izmēģināt un pārbaudīt vairākas robežas - pāreju starp telpām (durvīm, sliekšņiem); robežas starp valstīm, kuru šķērsošanai nepieciešamas vīzas; robežas cilvēku attiecībās.
- Abstract (english):
- Dance performance “place of the lost steps” will be held at the Latvian Academy of Culture theater house “Zirgu Pasts” which, for the duration of the performance, will turn into a “place of the lost steps” and the spectators will be offered to plunge into its atmosphere. Place of the lost steps is a place with which we are dividing things, the very place in which we appear when we move from one spot to another, that is "in-between". Between a house and a street, between internal and external, between cities, between countries, etc. Every day we are bound to pass this place. Moving from one space to another, it can be sort of a border as it is always in-between something. On one hand, borders help us to perceive the world around. But as far as the movement around our planet is concerned, we see that we are not that free after all. We can’t simply cross a border of one country to another, for this requires a passport and a visa. When we are on our way between the spaces, can we really answer the question – “where are we?” 25 And is this question viable at all?! Spectators will be “inside” of the performance from the get-go. They will simultaneously be the observer and the participant experiencing the spectacle close to performers and among them.
