- Jēdziena „laikmetīgs” izpratnei Rietumu kultūrā nav senu tradīciju, tomēr arvien biežāk šis termins tiek lietots pašreiz notiekošo kultūras procesu apzīmēšanā. Autore ir novērojusi, ka laimetīgā kultūra Latvijas pilsētvidē vēl netiek pilnībā saprasta, bet izpratnes veicināšanai trūkst papildus finanšu līdzekļi, lai to attīstītu. Tomēr, ir saskatāms milzīgs potenciāls laikmetīgās kultūras pasākumu veicināšanā, kas nākotnē varētu ne tikai pilnveidot kultūrtelpu, īpaši akcentējot reģionus, bet arī nest nopietnu ekonomisko pienesumu. Nav šaubu par tūrisma nozares spēju dot nozīmīgu ieguldījumu tautsaimniecības attīstībā. Tomēr, maldīgs ir uzskats, ka strauji augošā nozare izmanto visu savu potenciālu. Šobrīd kultūras tūrisma produkti pamatā ir kultūrvēsturiskā mantojuma objekti, bet netiek izmantots esošais potenciāls pakalpojumu sniegšanā. Pasākumu organizēšana ir minēta pie rīcības virzieniem, kas skaidri norāda tiešu attīstības iespēju. Tā ir perspektīva laikmetīgajai kultūrai veicināt tūrisma nozares attīstību, radot konkurētspējīgus galamērķus. Maģistra darbs „Laikmetīgās kultūras radīto galamērķu iespējas tūrisma nozares veicināšanā Latvijas reģionos” ir tieši veltīts laikmetīgās kultūras attīstības veicināšanai caur kultūras tūrismu, kam ir potences labvēlīgi iespaidot arī tautsaimniecību Latvijas reģionos.
- Abstract (english):
- Contemporary culture has not yet reached their full potential, while cultural tourism has not used all development perspectives. Master's theses „Opportunities created by contemporary cultural destinations for tourism encourage in Latvia’s regions” are dedicated to the encourage development of contemporary culture through the cultural tourism, what will make a positive impact on the economy. The aim consists of three parts. First, to clarify what is meant by the concept of contemporary culture. Second, to understand how the tourism industry interact with contemporary culture. Third, how is set the shaping of the destinations and does the contemporary culture can create cultural destinations. Following objectives is set to achieve the aim: explore and show theories that explains contemporary culture, cultural tourism, competitive destination and displays the creation tools of the cultural destinations, such as event management; analyze a cultural and tourism planning documents; compare the global cultural tourism trends with Latvia's cultural tourism development; view and evaluate contemporary cultural festivals in Latvia’s regions; analyze the possible reasons for non-use of the potential in the tourism industry; make conclusions and recommendations. Shown by culture and tourism theories, analyzed policy documents and four contemporary cultural festivals, the main research question: „Cultural destinations created by the contemporary culture are the unused potential of the tourism industry?” confirms. In the near future there is need to strengthen collaboration between the culture and tourism organizations and set a common goals for the development.
