Abstract (latvian):
Amerikas kūltūrā Čilijs Vilijs līdz pagājušā gadsimta septiņdesmito gadu sākumam bija populārs animācijas filmu varonis – naivs un labsirdīgs pingvīns, ko 1953. gadā radīja mākslinieks Pols Smits (Paul Smith, 1906–1980). Turklāt animācijas tēla prototips bijis amerikāņu kinoaktieris Čils Vils (Chill Wills, 1902–1978). Normunda Brūvera gleznās multeņu varonis pārtop, iemiesojot sevī 20. un 21. gs. mijas arhetipu, tā kļūstot par humoristisku, cilvēcisku, un ironisku tipāžu. Akmenī, smiltīs, uz audekla, finiera vai māju sienām mākslinieka sarežģītā tehnikā izpildītajos darbos Čilijs Vilijs kļūst par pilnasinīgu ikdienas notikumu dalībnieku. Daudzslāņainākie darbi ir izpildīti ar uzskricelētiem tekstiem, aplikāciju skrambām un karikatūrai līdzīgiem zīmējumiem, kas vienotā kompozīcijā darina stāstus.
