Abstract (latvian):: This paper discusses the exploration and efforts made to cultivate and improve civil information literacy in recent years by the library community (including the National Library, public libraries and school libraries, etc.) in China. In particular, some services play a good role in different ways and at different levels, such as the construction of “Chinese Government Public Information Online”,the promotion of “National Reading” and information literacy education innovation. While summing up the successful experience, the paper pointed out that the Library is of great significance to enjoy the cultural life and protect cultural rights and interests for citizens and related services also has a lot of room for improvement and good prospects.
